Are the stairs too becoming to difficult? by admin

Many people today are struggling to manage in their own homes. Everyday things like climbing up and down the stairs are becoming more and more difficult. But the answer may be simpler than you think.

If you are disabled and are struggling with your stairs then perhaps a stairlift is the answer. One simple adjustment to your home can give you the freedom you need to reach all levels of your home without pain or discomfort. Although stairlifts can be expensive, they can give you the confidence and peace of mind to stay in your own home, which in itself is priceless. It is also worth considering even if you think a stairlift is out of your price range, as there are some very affordable options out there. It may also be possible to get a government grant to help pay for one. Here is a link to a website with more information on disability grants: www.disability-grants.org

Anyway the main thing is, if you are struggling, don't suffer in silence with your disability. Look into all the options available, because there is probably a solution just around the corner.

Selling out? Is it inevitable? by admin

I am a struggling artist and I have high aspirations of making a name for myself doing what I love doing best. I scrape by with commissions and other jobs that occasionally come my way, with the hopeful promise of leading me onto bigger and better things. Am I being naively optimistic in holding our for my big break?

I often convince myself that I don't need more than to earn a modest wage, to "get by" and never change my goal until I've got where I want to be. But I'm not getting any younger, and one day I hope to start a family. Everyone knows children are expensive, and I don't want to be forced into another career by my decision to have children.

Recently I've found myself looking at rich city types, who can afford designer suits and big houses, and I wonder if following my dreams are worth it? Maybe I should have been an investment banker, worked for Rowan Dartington or HSCB, or been a lawyer, or a doctor. Anything that would put more money in my bank account, and on a more regular basis. And I wonder now, at 25, is it too late to go in that director, even if I wanted to.

What A Choice! by admin

All I wanted to do this weekend was buy myself a new going out dress! But it so hard to find one I like, that fits and ultimately LOOKS NICE!!

The choice of Womens Party Dresses is ridiculous! There are so many, from boob tube, to strappy, to the LBD, to the maxi dress.

So when my friend turned to me when I was shopping and said what kind of dress would you like? I was lost. I have no idea! A nice one?

We spent all day looking around New Look, Topshop, H&M and Miss Selfridge. I didn’t manage to find any that would work so now I am searching online to find one. Asos is the next stop! Wish me luck!

The Secret of Looking Good by admin

Now when I feel my best I normal have a tan! When I come back from a sun-filled holiday and have a healthy glow.
Unfortunately I can’t feel like that all the time as I can’t 9(like many) enjoy a holiday every month. However, I do believe in a good fake tan.

This doesn’t mean a ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ mega orange colour tan, it just means a light base that gives you a glow. Instead of spray tans I like Dove or Garnier fake tan moisturisers that builds a light tan gradually and doesn’t smell like biscuits.

Also another way to make sure you have a healthy glow is eating well. Now this doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself onWild Bird-Food and water everyday, but instead making sure you have plenty of fruit and veg and get all the right nutrients from all the food groups.

So this month, my top buy is Garnier body moisturiser with fake tan and at the moment it is only £3.35 from Superdrug, which is half price!
